Recently, Falen Laponzina left her pet
Yorkie Dax at a dog boarding kennel for a week while she went on a cruise. She
trusted the Wagtime Too kennel to keep her dog safe and happy while she was
away. but sadly it didn’t turn out that way.
Tragically when Laponzina returned home she found that her four and a half
pound dog had been killed by a much bigger dog while at the facility. Laponzina, who happens to be a Washington DC lawyer, is suing the Wagtime Too kennel
for $150,000, claiming they were negligent in the death of her dog. The
kennel says it was a freak accident that the dogs are allowed to roam in a cage-free environment. They say one of their employees was watching the dogs but
didn’t realize the larger dog had picked up Dax in his teeth until it was too
late. Laponzina says the money she is seeking
is not only for financial loss but also reflects the important role dogs play in
their owners lives. What do you think is this a case of criminal negligence or
just a freak accident? What should happen? Next, leave your comments below
and if you think you or a loved one even a four-legged loved one have been the
